Government Support to Africa for Abortion

During the Reagan Administration, there was a virtual ban on all government aid to organizations attempting to provide abortion services to third world countries. During the Clinton years, the ban was lifted so that our American abortion culture could be exported all over the globe. And now that the Bush Administration has returned to the former Reagan Policy, there has been much criticism that President Bush is more interested in his own ideology and protecting the interests of his conservative campaign contributors than in the health and safety of impoverished peoples around the world.
We hear the argument all the time:” For God sakes, Mr. President, people are dying of AIDS in Africa! Can’t you set aside your ideology to save a few lives? Never mind the stupidity of the idea that everything would be okay in Africa is they only had more access to abortion. Never mind the politics involved. Perhaps the President understands that providing access to abortion around the world will cause much more suffering than it will alleviate. Essentially, what pro-abortion relief organizations promote is the massive slaughter of millions of unborn Africans. This is something that no American president with a conscience can support.
