OBSERVANCE OF THE EXTRAORDINARY JUBILEE YEAR OF MERCY
Pope Francis announced an Extraordinary Jubilee Year of Mercy that would be celebrated in the Church beginning December 8, 2015 (The Solemnity of the Immaculate Conception of the Blessed Virgin Mary) and concluding November 20, 2016 (The Solemnity of Our Lord Jesus Christ, King of the Universe and the 50th Anniversary of the Closing of the Second Vatican Council).
