On April 15, 2016, The Most Reverend George V. Murry, S.J., Bishop of Youngstown, signed a formal decree erecting Rhoda Wise Shrine, Inc. as a Private Association of the Faithful in accord with Canon Law.
Rhoda Wise Shrine, Inc., is located in Canton, Ohio, owns and maintains the property association with the stigmatic and mystic, Rhoda Wise, who became known in the 1930-40’s after several healings and reports of visits from Jesus and Saint Theresa, the Little Flower. The non-profit corporation lists its purposes as follows:
 To educate and promote the religious, charitable, and educational purpose of the Roman Catholic Church;
 To educate and promote devotion to the Sacred Heart of Jesus, the Rosary, and St. Theresa of Lisieux;
 To preserve the memory of Rhoda Wise of Canton, Ohio, wife, mother, mystic, and stigmatic;
 To support the possible official petition for a cause for canonization. The petition is at initial stages;
 To preserve and maintain the sacred objects and property associated with Rhoda Wise, including the shrine.
