Meet the New Catholic Challenge Champions

Tuscarawas Central Catholic High School
Two Tuscarawas County teens have won the latest season of Catholic Challenge on the Living Bread Radio Network. Elizabeth Clemence and Sydney Lorenz from Tuscarawas Central Catholic High School in New Philadelphia took the victory in the season finale, which aired on September 2nd. Together, the girls competed against teams from all over Northeast Ohio, and were awarded $1,100 for their high school.
Clemence is now a Freshman at Walsh University majoring in Accounting. She is a member of St. Joseph Parish in Dover. Lorenz is a senior at Tuscarawas Central Catholic High School and a member of The Church of the Holy Trinity in Zoar. She plans to attend Franciscan University of Steubenville and major in Theology.
Now in its second season, the Catholic Challenge game show tests contestant’s knowledge of the Catholic Faith. Questions range from scripture, saints, and church teaching. The prize money for the program comes from generous sponsors St. Raphael Books and Gifts, Ziegler Tire, and Walsh University.
