 Have You Ever Wondered?

Have you ever wondered, “Who am I?”   “Do I have a purpose?”   “Do I have a final destiny?” and if so, “How do I get there?”   Or have you ever wondered, “Why is it that I am never satisfied?”   “How is it that just when I get the newest smart phone my ecstatic high is so short-lived that I find myself craving for something more?”

What might even be more unsettling, is when you realize that even the person closest to you just can’t fulfill your every need.  And you begin to wonder if something might be wrong with you.   Trust me, if your deepest psyche hasn’t yet confronted you with these questions and musings, sooner or later it will.   And be grateful when that time comes.   It’s actually a sign that you are now ready to embark on the road to reaching the highest degree of fulfillment in this life, and with God’s grace, complete fulfillment and utter joy in the next life for all eternity.

In my series of blogs I would like to share with you some of my own thoughts and inspirations that flow from a bit of life experience, some study, lots of reflection and most of all God’s merciful and munificent love for me.   I hope and pray that God will use these remarks in such a way that they may spark your own mind into listening more deeply to the tender yet compelling voice of God as He chooses to use yet another way to draw you closer to Him.   Stay tuned for my next blog where we will think about identity and self-worth.
