What is grace?
The Catechism of the Catholic Church sums it up like this. By grace we mean God’s free, loving gift to us, his helping goodness, the vitality that comes from him. Through the Cross and Resurrection, God devotes himself entirely to us and communicates himself to us in grace. Grace is everything God grants us, without our deserving it in the least.
Your Grace Is Enough Matt Maher Album: Empty & Beautiful 2008
I have been blessed to see Matt Maher on several occasions over the past few years. His love for the Lord is one of the first qualities that you can see and hear in his music. In fact, after his performance at The Fest a while back, he stuck around and actually helped the house band/choir lead the music for the closing Mass. During his performance (to more than Catholics) he made the point that “in a few hours, Jesus will be up here on this alter in the Blessed Sacrament”. Then he went on to speak about his love for the Lord and his faith and it was such a great witness to thousands of people. He, as an artist, carries such power and influence to his listeners, and I’m certain that through his witness on stage that day, he planted plenty of seeds with his fans that otherwise may have not even known that he was a Catholic artist who just happened to make the Contemporary Christian Music Charts. One of his more popular songs played at Lifeteen Mass around the world is “Your Grace is Enough”. In an uplifting beat and guitar oriented song structure, the tune definitely gets the point across, that it is through God’s mercy and grace that everyone is worthy and that He will wrestle with and bring us all to salvation. As it says in Ephesians 2:8-9 that “…by grace you have been saved through faith; and this is not your own doing…”

Matt was born in Newfoundland, Canada.
He received a scholarship from Arizona State University Jazz department.
He performed for Pope Francis at World Youth Day 2013 in Rio.
Matt has released 8 studio albums with Empty & Beautiful receiving the Catholic Album of the Year Award in 2008.
